  • Multinomial endogenous switching regression*

    Dear Stata community,
Please kindly help me out. I am working on the effect of adoption of agricultural technologies on maize yields in Ghana. My adoption variable is polychotomus and am therefore required to use the Multinomial endogenous switching regression. However, I do not know how to execute it in stata.
Please help me with the commands for executing it and how to determine the average treatment on the treated (ATT) and average treatment on untreated (ATU).
    Thank you.
    Abdallah Abdul-Hanan.

You'll increase your chances of a useful answer if you follow the FAQ on asking questions - provide Stata code in code delimiters, readable Stata output, and sample data using dataex. Also, refer to Stata, not stata.

Have you Googled these terms? Have you looked carefully in the documentation? I don't know off hand what routine to use, but I don't get the feeling that you've really worked on this before asking us.

      Dear Abdallah
I've been doing research about land rental participation on household income recently. I will also choose the Multinomial endogenous switching regression model. However, when I estimate the selmlog command, I donot know how to calculate the ATT. So did you solve the problem?

Hope for your reply. Thank you.

        Dear Jian Zhang

I just find out your paper in Food Policy. Congrats for the publication. It seems you figured out how to calculate the ATT. Could you share with us?

I am working on a topic with a multinomial dependent variable and from literature, the Multinomial Endogenous Switching regression is recommended. Any one who knows the command in stata and the post-estimation commands please.

          Thank you.
